John Augustus, 69, passed away on January 21, 2012. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, John attended Park Central Elementary School and North Central High School and went on to graduate from Indiana University. John moved to Chicago in 1969 and worked in the advertising and marking industry, where he met Peg, his wife of 40 years. After vacationing at Lake Tahoe, they both fell in love with the area and moved to Incline Village where they lived for 33 years. John was known throughout the Incline Village and Lake Tahoe communities for his friendship and generosity and one of John’s greatest pleasures was entertaining his many friends on his flower-filled deck and organizing beach bar-be-ques.
John is survived by his wife, Peg, sister Jayne Baggett and nephews Craig, James and Rick Baggett.
A memorial service will be held on Friday January 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Incline Village.
