Adrian Jean (Davison) Meyer passed away unexpectedly at her home in Dayton, Nevada on July 12th 2018 at the age of 86.

Jean was born on August 4th 1931 in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada to Florence Ida (Andersen) and Edward Errol Seymour Davison, both immigrants of New Zealand. Her parents divorced early on, each remarried. Her mother to Frank Joseph Robinson, having one additional child, Raymond Errol Robinson. Her father was remarried to Elizabeth (Beth). She grew up on Vancouver Island, mainly in the country with her mother and stepfather but also got a taste of city life when spending time with her father and stepmother after a few years of separation.

She graduated from the School of Psychiatric Nursing in Essondale B.C. in 1953. She married her adventurous husband Bert on March 5th 1955. Shortly after, they moved to Seattle, Washington and became proud U.S. citizens. They had two children; Kathryn Ann and Susan Lynn.

The family moved to Los Gatos, California in 1961, starting and running their own sign business. They were active members of the Lyons Club, an antique car club and owned a gift store for a short period. She enjoyed copper enameling, sewing, trips to the beach, and time with friends among other activities.

In 1970 they moved to Nevada where the air was cleaner and life calmer. First to Carson City, then settling in Dayton three years later where they built their own home and continued their sign business while also pursuing other job opportunities. Jean worked as an assistant at a doctor’s office then went on to work for the State of Nevada, Health Department for over 30 years.

She was a strong woman who was devoted to her family. She always liked to get in the last word and express her opinions. Over the years she enjoyed square dancing, collecting antique treasures, sewing, quilting, gardening, volunteering and especially reading!

She is survived by her husband Bert, daughters Kathy (Dan) of Dayton, and Susan (Ted) of Carson City, grandchildren Kristyn (Naeem) of Phoenix, AZ and Ryan (Lindsay) of Reno, as well as great-grandchildren Zoey and Reagan of Phoenix, AZ.
